Cryptographic Licensing & Pro Modules

Pluvira utilizes asymmetric cryptographic tokens to verify Pro subscriptions and unlock advanced features without requiring continuous network connectivity.

1. License Activation

A Pro license token can be applied to your instance using either of the following methods:

Option A: WebUI Settings Dashboard

Navigate to Settings > System & License in the WebUI.
Paste your license token into the License Key field.
Click Activate License. The system validates the token and unlocks capabilities immediately.

Option B: Environment Variable (Container Deployments)

Pass your license key when running or configuring your container:

Activating a Pro license unlocks advanced features across the platform:

3. Silent License Auto-Renewal Protocol

Pluvira implements a zero-friction background license renewal protocol (MEMO-2026-LICENSE-SYNC-01). When platform administrators extend license validity or adjust module entitlements via the SaaS Admin Backoffice:

Automatic Heartbeat Detection: During periodic background heartbeats (POST /api/v1/license/heartbeat, every 120 seconds), Pluvira Cloud compares database validity timestamps with incoming JWT claims.
Dynamic JWT Re-Signing: If DB.expires_at > JWT.exp, the server generates an updated Ed25519 JWT and attaches it to the updated_token field.
Transparent Hot-Reload: The local daemon detects updated_token, updates config.yaml and memory state, and syncs the token to pluvira-pro (.license_cache) with zero user prompts, zero manual copy-pasting, and zero playback stutter.

4. Tokenized Dynamic Exports

When sharing curated lineups with external media players and connected apps (such as Kodi, VLC, or Smart TV players), you can generate tokenized export URLs:

Port 8585 Default: Client instances serve dynamic exports and playback streams on default container port 8585.
Scoped Access: Allows media players to fetch dynamic playlists without providing full administrative credentials.
Revocable: Tokens can be regenerated or revoked from the dashboard without altering core system access.

5. Zero-Email & Biometric License Recovery

If a local server crashes or configuration files are lost:

Passwordless Portal Access: Sign in to the Customer Portal using registered biometric Passkeys (FaceID / TouchID / Windows Hello) or connected OAuth2 providers (GitHub, Discord, Telegram).
Instant Retrieval: Active licenses and Ed25519 tokens are retrieved immediately without requiring email verification links or order IDs.
One-Click Lease Reset: Release active IP leases directly from the dashboard if an old node terminated abruptly.
